Baja California with the Z's - Days 19 & 20: Just Hanging Out

Sunday, March 12

Lazy day, not much got done and not much was planned by me.

Sunrise was OK:

Before Noon, Chris and Lori Z. took their Overlander Rig Stewie and headed into town to do some grocery shopping.  I stayed behind to relax and watch the campsite.

Though it was past Noon when they got to the restaurant, they were still serving breakfast and so that's what Lori and Chris got:

As they are wont to do, the Z's checked out the local cemetery:

Chris and Lori also went to check out the iOverlander listed site south of town.  They report it's pretty nice and only two rigs present when they showed up:

The Z's returned to the campsite before 2PM I think, they'd bought for me a marinated skirt steak called an Arrachero and french fries.  It's what we had for dinner and it was again, delicious!  We'd had the Arrachero before at their rig and we'd wanted to repeat the culinary experience; though this time I was the cook/host.

Monday, March 13

Another do nothing day for me, did go for a walk to get pictures of the rigs now that Stewie is a different position at the campsite.

It was another beautiful day, though windier than yesterday.  Still, it was t-shirt and shorts weather for the most part!  Didn't do much of anything and after a phone conversation involving both Chris Z. and RichardM, have decided on a different approach to battery usage at night.  More on that later.

Did you go swimming or fishing?

No fishing gear or willingness amongst us, RichardM. I did spend some time wading in the water by shore, up to my mid-thighs anyways. Too cold still to swim though probably doable.
