Some pictures from my travels over this past year.....my predilection for solitude would become mandatory "Social Distancing" during 2020.  So glad this year is over.

Motorcycle mileages

Yep, the downward trend continues for Brigitta and Scarlett.

Total mileage ridden in 2020 = 7425 (+41% over last year)

Scarlett:  Ending odometer reading 67417 = 2336 Km or 1401 Miles (worse than last year)

Brigitta ('87 BMW R80): Ending Odometer 100,879 = 464 Miles (very slightly better than last year)

Fiona: Ending odometer: 15600? = 2808 km or 1684 miles. (estimate only due to fire) R.I.P.

Yagi: Ending odometer: 13339 = 3876 Miles or 6201 Km (almost double from last year)

RV Stats:

We went glamping with Umarang, the URRV, for 202 days (55% of the year vice 39%  last year)

Umarang: ending Mileage: 69900 = 9300 Miles for 2019. (a bit less than last year)

Another year has come and gone, several trips, many changes, a year older though I wonder about the wiser part.   :)

Scarlett:  Ending odometer reading 51,607.  9938 Km or 5962 Miles

Brigitta ('87 BMW R80): Ending Odometer 99,714.  1298 Miles (Still Pitiful)

Fiona: Ending odometer: 4674 (odometer replaced at 19777), 5021 km or 3012 miles.

RV Stats:

We went glamping with Umarang, the URRV, for 72 days.  She took us Utah, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona and several spots around the great state of Colorado.

Happy New Year and 2015 in Pictures

Got home from Walsenburg around noon today, figured out the power loss issue (clogged air filter, swapped in GMH (get me home) used filter and was good to go!  Oh, and ran out of gas just short of  Larkspur, CO but the spare tank got me going.

Scarlett did great on this trip and this year!

Scarlett:  Ending odometer reading 31,258.  16,155 Km or 9690 Miles

Brigitta ('87 BMW R80): Ending Odometer 97,370.  1870 Miles (Sad, I know)

1560 miles ridden in Europe on the rental URAL.

In my pitiful defense, I don't have a work commute anymore since I work from home.

This brings my total miles ridden on motorcycles to:  181,643 (more or less)

Happy New Year and 2014 in Pictures

Another year has come and gone, and with it, some changes in life and some changes in the stable.

The moto-blogging world lost one of its pioneers when Bobskoot of Wet Coast Scootin passed away while driving with his loving wife Yvonne.  We miss you Bob.

I've changed jobs, hopefully for the foreseeable future, which now has me working fulltime at home.  This opens new travel possibilities but initially all its done is cut down on the amount of miles I ride my motorcycles since I no longer have a commute.

This year saw me trading in my 2006 Suzuki V-Strom/Dauntless Sidecar Rig: Yoshie and my 2011 URAL Patrol Sidecar Rig Valencia to Unique Rides in exchange for my 2014 URAL Patrol Rig: Scarlett.

Total mileage ridden in 2014: 14,852 miles broken down by motorcycle:

Scarlett: 14,239 Kilometers or 8543 Miles

Brigitta ('87 BMW R80): 4306 Miles

Yoshie: 1485 Miles

Valencia: 864 Kilometers or 518 Miles

This brings my total miles ridden on motorcycles to:  168,523

2013 - The Year in Pictures and Happy New Year!

Quite the year, 2013, here's hoping the New Year will be an even better one for everyone.

22,102 miles ridden in 2013, as follows:

Valencia: 30,807 Kilometers (18,030 km of which were part of the Alaska Trip) or 18,484 Miles, ending the year at 48,062 Kilometers.

Brigitta: 2684 Miles (She went over 100,000 miles finally), ending the year at 100,666.

Yoshie: Only 934 miles (she spent most of the year on consignment), ending the year at 38,485.

That's 153,671 miles since I started blogging back in August 13, 2006.  I had taken the BRC during the Memorial Day Weekend of the same year.
