Scarlett's Windshield Mount repaired and Learning to use a New Tool

Yesterday, I used epoxy glue by JB Weld to glue the broke plastic mount for the windshield back together.  It dries a translucent yellow and came out pretty good for such a repair.

I put the windshield back on Scarlett, my 2014 Ural Patrol, and took her for a short ride with only minor bumpy conditions and the repair held up fine!

I then left Scarlett's battery charging up as I'd had some difficulty getting the starter to engage after several short rides the last few days; while testing the repairs on the sidecar's drive shaft bracket that had come off.

Oh, and I then removed the windshield from Scarlett and stored it away inside the VRRV.  No need for it in warmish Arizona!  This way, if she ends up on rough rocky trails unintentionally, no stress on the mounts!

In the afternoon, I helped Chris Z. mount a ramp onto the hydraulic lift ramp he uses to transport his TW200 and two E-Bikes.

Chris made it all seem easy and straightforward a process!  I was just a second set of hands where required.

He introduced me to a tool new to me: An Oscillating Tool with a metal cutting blade!  It made quick work of cutting bits off the ramp and later to cut off excess length on the bolts used to secure the hinges to the ramp and the lift.

Here we are securing the ramp onto the lift, it'll fold under the lift when in travel mode.

The job was completed with no issues.  I foresee the purchase of my own Oscillating Tool in the near future; it's very handy for cutting metal.  There's other attachments one can use too, like for removing grout, cutting wood, etc.

The rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying the sun and chatting with Chris and Lori under the awning attached to their LMTV.

Yes, Blaze Our Way (Lori), discovering new tools is a joy.

Get a Ural or an RV and you will have plenty of opportunities to discover new tools. You have both so the opportunities are what, more than double.

Truer words, RichardM, have not been spoken.

The monochrome pics intrigue me the most this time, Dom. How about doing the one with yourself in B&W as well. I am sure that's a motive Martha might want to put on her nightstand especially when you're off on one of your solo trips. I'm sure you'l look pretty cool in B&W.

Thanks for the feedback SonjaM, I'll see what I can do.
