Meeting a new fellow Uralista

Today I finally met in person, a Uralista who'd been told of me by his client.  Dr. Vladislav Twerskoi, DDS is the dentist to Andrey Smirnov, my Russian friend from when I rode my '96 Ural Sportsman: Natasha.

Small world eh, even smaller in that Vladislav or Vlad lives just 11 minutes from my home!

He rides a 2007 Ural Patrol that he bought new, I believe that I saw him back in 2009 when I was riding around on Natasha.  Weird huh.

Anyways, our schedules finally matched up for a quick meetup and ride to catch tonight's sunset at my usual spot.

We chatted about sidecars, got UDF'ed by a fellow who has a R75 Beemer with a Ural sidecar (being worked on at present) and he told me of his family and life story, all very interesting stuff I must say.  He spent many years in Berlin, back when the Cold War was still going on.  He was a young boy in Israel during the Yom Kippur War, which started just months after his family had moved to Israel.

Anyways, he's been looking for fellow Uralisti to ride with, so we'll see about getting him involved with future rides.

 Our rigs during tonight's sunset.

Here's Vlad and his 2007 Ural Patrol, he got the white striping because
it matched the paint/striping of his father's rig back in Odessa I believe.

Here's a couple of pics taken by Vlad with his Android phone:
