Displaced from Hotchkiss about 35 miles west to the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area.
I turned off of US 50 onto Escalante Canyon Road and using Yagi, found a spot after a couple of tries at different portions of this BLM area.
Not a bad spot, no trees but isolation is achieved and you can't hear the noise from the highway.
Spent the rest of the day working, doing a short ride during lunch to explore the nearby trails and the Dominguez Rim:
The afternoon proved quite warm, hitting 89°F (31.6°C) at the high point. The clouds overhead would block the blazing sun at times but it was still quite warm. There was a breeze blowing from the west though and while gusty at times, it helped keep me cool in the RV when not outside doing something.
The sunset started a bit weak but blossomed quite nicely as the sun disappeared under the horizon:

The rim shots look pretty nice. As do the sunsets.
Thanks RichardM, it’s not a bad spot for boondocking....though it can get windy where I camped!
