June 9, Friday
After a stop at the Apgar Visitor Center of West Glacier NP, we rode about 10 miles or so to the town of Hungry Horse, MT.
The objective? To buy a Huckleberry Pie of course.
The day was heavily overcast, with rain heavy enough to make riding an intensely focused endeavour.
A stop at Apgar Village back within the Glacier NP, afforded this view of the lake and distant mountains.
Really, there are mountains.... witness this shot from the 6th:
The rest of the day was spent hanging out in the VRRV, out of the occasional sprinkles of rain.
The evening was spent in the Z's gazebo, enjoying dinner made by Lori. A couple of rounds of Play 9 card game and some Makers 46/Gentleman Jack provided entertainment for out last night camping together.
Saturday, June 10
We packed up and said our goodbyes to the Zs as we started heading south towards Colorado.
By noon, we were setting up at the Big Larch Campground by Seeley Lake, MT.

Looks like the pie trip was very worthwhile! Great to see you all having fun winding down this trip.
Thanks Coop, it's been a long trip at times.
The huckleberry pies were one of the highlights of the area. Pretty tasty!
Unfair teasing us... as I read you rode all the way to Hungry Horse, MT, to buy a Huckleberry Pie, I thought okay, there will now be a photo of the pie... but nothing! What no photo of the pie! Dang it Dom, stop teasing us...!
THEN in photo #5, that beautiful PIE held up by a Peach. Ok, you are forgiven.
Was great traveling with the Z's this year.
Rarely have I been called a tease, CCjon! ;)
Indeed RichardM, though the latest iteration's crust wasn't that great...the amount of Huckleberry was more than I recalled.
Mmm, now I want pie, too. Looks delicious!
We could save you a slice, SonjaM, but you'll have to hurry on over! ;)
