Boondocking near the Dragoon Mountains

This morning I left the Hot Well Dunes Rec Area soon after breakfast, it was forecasted to be a cool day with a high of only 60 degrees so might as well displace further south!

Couple of hours later, and one wrong route by Google Maps, I had dumped tanks, taken on fresh water, replenished propane and found myself a camping spot at the base of the Dragoon Mountains near Tombstone, AZ.

The main road is FR 687 and takes you to several designated camping areas, I'm on the southern end of this stretch of campsites.  I took Yagi out for a recon of the other sites, paralleling the Dragoon Mountains:

I don't usually see horses, cows sure, but not horses

Saw several side trails to be explored in the roughly 4 mile long stretch of dirt road with campsites located closer to the base of the nearby Dragoon Mountains.

It wouldn't get above 60 degrees down here either but it's supposed to be much warmer tomorrow so here's hoping!

You found another interesting spot to explore. Looks pretty quiet too.

Pretty quiet so far, everyone seems interested in keeping their distance in terms of campsites.

“ it's supposed to be much water tomorrow”

Hopefully you don’t float away...

Thanks RichardM, any floating will be done on coolant I think!
