I wanted to show how crowded the BLM area we
were boondocking in was getting.
First though, there's a long ride on pavement along UT 313 to the turn off for Spring Bottom Canyon. This is then a long dirt road with some bumps and dips that eventually leads the group of rigs to the top of the canyon walls.
We descended slowly as the going is quite steep and eventually we all were at the bottom of the canyon and uraling our way to a stand of cottonwood trees for a brief lunch break
Once ready and rested, we rode our ay back to the steep hill climb road and one by one made it all the way back to the top.

At the top of the canyon we posed the rigs in a line along the edge of the cliff:
After resting and pictures we rode back the way we came, ending back on UT 313 where folks split off on their own. All the rigs and riders made it back to their campsites safely. It was quite hot by now, in the mid to high 80s so the rest of the afternoon was spent by me resting in the shade at the campsite.

A good day of riding to end a good week's worth of riding. I head home tomorrow.

That really is quite the crowd in the BLM area. But given how much the local RV parks charge for a simple parking spot, I can see why.
That looks like a great area. Looking forward to the video!
Love those canyon shots - especially that first one. Urals are just tiny specks. I don't think I can get tired of this scenery.
RichardM, it was getting a bit too crowded for me....
Thanks Kari....didn't get to shoot as much as I normally would like to do....the heat, the terrain, it was difficult to be in the right position most of the time.

Thanks Trobairitz, yes that was sunrise light as the sun peeked over the mountains in the horizon.
Crowded conditions indeed. When we returned from riding, there were other peoples dogs anywhere there was shade within our "enclave"....kids, dogs, dirt bikes, bicyclists all running amuck....it was high time to leave.

It's quite the road RichardM, not too hard but has enough rough spots to keep things interesting...especially when one's steering dampener is giving me conniptions, a third party one is on the way now.

Great video and music. MOAB is one place I haven't ridden yet. Looks like a lot of fun. Someday........
Haven't ridden the Million Dollar Highway either, maybe June or July this year. Will be in Angel Fire early June
Am thinking of swinging thru Colorado from NM with the BMW / Hannigan rig mid-June or July.
In June we should be around Jan, July not so much. Would be great to do a ride with you in June or August though....and of course if you need a place to overnight in metro Denver vicinity.....
