There was a break in the clouds, according to the weather radar reports, so I headed out with Scarlett to capture some cloud time-lapses. I hope you like them.
The brief view of blue skies did not last long though, as I type this, it's raining once again. I am hoping for clearer skies come Memorial Day Monday.
Update: One more time-lapse video and some photos, showing a rather cool looking storm cloud brewing....

It sounds to me like you've been getting the same type of weather we've had here in Salt Lake for the last couple of weeks. "Dampening one's riding" indeed: I had planned to head west this weekend for some moto-camping in the desert, but that ancient lake bottom is no doubt a mucky, miry mess right now. Oh, well--water is good, and given a few days of sun and warmth, all of the landscapes will be abundant with greens and blooms.
Ry Austin, thanks for the comments....
I added another video from the last hour or so....
A great time-lapse, and--you're right--that looked like a big one brewing. From the direction that the clouds were heading and the sunlight on Scarlett, it must have been east of you, out toward tornado country?
Ry, it was actually to the north of us...the winds were coming from the south.
added some photos.
Dom, I find especially the last video mesmerising.
I like the storm clouds in that last time lapse.
We've not had much sun all week either. Will be back on Tuesday after the bholiday.....just on time.
SonjaM, thanks for the comment, I liked that one the best.
Trobairitz, storm clouds are the best for time-lapses....
