I hurried over with Brigitta to The Plains Conservation Center on Quincy Road, hoping to catch these red skies.
Alas, I was too late. Still, I got a couple of shots that with a little retouching thanks to picnik.com, come close to showing you the really nice colors that followed that awesome red painted sky that I missed. At this rate, I'm going to have to leave the house in the dark in order to be able to capture those first rays of light!
The morning clouds to the east blocked the sun from painting the tops of the RockiesHope you all had chances to ride this week!

I can see you getting up and hitting the pavement in the pre-dawn dark just to catch the sun between the clouds and the horizon. It must have been freezing, but I thought I saw temperatures as high as 70ยบ predicted for Colorado.

I got slammed with my first attack of arthritis in my shoulder this week, which cancelled my riding plans for the immediate future. I am thinking that riding in the relative cold of last weekend -- without the adequate gear -- may have triggered this. As aconsequence, I am tihinking of getting my first electric gear. We'll see.

Twisted Roads
I am heading out in the morning for a jaunt along the Erie Canal. It may be my last for a bit. I can smell deep snow approaching in Western, NY.
Jack, I am not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination....we shall see if I can get out of the rack so early. Thanks for the commentary.....sorry to hear re the arthritis though, I don't suppose a heating pad hooked up the bike.....? : )
Heated gear is good stuff, specially grips with ATV covers to keep the wind off.....toasty.
