Now Boondocking near Imperial Dunes, CA

Yep, back in California, but not the overcrowded bay area at least.

Once again, camping in the Ogilby Road BLM area near Felicity, CA.

It was less than a 100 mile displacement so it didn't take us long.  Took a few tries and recons via CR-V before we found a good spot with good signal though.

Following were shot by Martha with her iPhone: (very minimally post-processed by me)

A wide open spot with solitude in California? How did that happen? Did you chase them away? ;-)
Cheers, SonjaM

Ah, if only it were that easy, SonjaM!

When we were in the area, Imperial Dunes was a zoo with all of the OHV users. There were people everywhere. We were at Imperial Dam which wasn't any less crowded. Quartzsite was much densly packed.

RichardM, apparently we were in the area at the right time as it was not crowded and there was no one on the dunes. I expect that with the Thanksgiving holidays coming up the place will become a zoo and fill up.
