Rock Formations on the East Side of VOTG, Muley Point, Moki Dugway and a Hasty Displacement

I went with Yagi, my TW200, t-dub'ing our way to the east side of the Valley of the Gods in the morning.  

Looking back towards the Castle Butte area, I liked the positioning of the two buttes:

I spent part of the afternoon cruising up and down the Moki Dugway but the light wasn't favorable for pictures.  Also tried using my old GoPro Hero video camera but the video was slightly out of focus.  Oh well.

Later in the evening, I went out to see what could be seen in the golden hour's light:

Saturday, April 02

This morning I headed out around 9:00 AM on Scarlett, my 2014 Ural Patrol.  We went up the Moki Dugway again and then took County 241 towards Muley Point.  The road to Muley Point is actually quite nice for a dirt road.

It ends in the Glen Canyon NRA or National Recreation Area.  There were at least two camper sites that I could see.  Perhaps next time I'm in the area.

I returned to the Moki Dugway from Muley Point and then got some decent shots while slowly making my way back down:

As I was riding back to camp on the VOTG road, I saw and confirmed by riding up to it that the campsite I wanted was open!  Time for a Hasty Displacement!

I got back to the VRRV by 12:05 PM and twenty minutes later I was moving to the new site!  

My haste was rewarded by a still empty campsite.  So I set up camp in the quite large campsite, situating things to fill it up.

The site is on a small hill, and you access it via a slightly steep dirt road.  As you crest the hill, here's what you see:

I still have a pretty good view from the campsite, though not as close to the Lady in the Tub as I used to be:

I'd like to do a little venting now.  The previous campers, tent campers, really made their kind of campers look bad.  The idiots left toilet paper strewn about the edges of the campsite!

Seems to me, if you're to goddamn stupid to dig a proper cat hole and bury your TP properly, you shouldn't be camping!  There were even long streams of TP, caught in the spiny bushes where the wind had blown them.
