Drove to Cave Run Lake area in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Pretty lazy day today, still tired from the driving yesterday even though it really wasn't a long distance, perhaps a little bit of road weariness?
We set up camp yesterday afternoon in the H Loop of the Twin Knobs Campground.
The site had power but no water or sewer, which was fine as I'd filled up the fresh water tank before departing the last campground.
It would rain, on and off, sometimes pretty hard, throughout most of today. I did manage a quick ride on Yagi, my Yamaha TW200 Dual Sport to let her get some exercise. I checked out the rest of the campground and came upon this view at the Tent Group Site which was empty.
The beach/swim area for the campground was closed due to flooding which was a bummer. Although the mostly overcast skies would keep the sun's heat from beating down on us, the humidity level remained high.

Oh, you're in some of my old territory - I grew up about 20 miles east of there. I remember when they built that dam.
It's a great area. Cave Run is a federal project, so it's not built up tourist-y like a lot of other KY lakes. It's crowded weekends, you can chill weekdays.
If you're into fishing (I don't know from your history) it's one of the best in the US.
Safe travels, watch out for crazy drivers.
So did you go swimming to get that shot of Martha on the deck?

CCjon, did not go swimming, there was another floating dock at the right angle, just had to risk a muddy trail to get there.
Road weariness. We've found that if we moved too often, it got tiring. One week is good, two to three weeks good, and four weeks is too long.
I like about 7-10 days between displacement works good for me, RichardM. Still, forward progress must be made....Martha has a flight to catch by the end of the month.
