Today we displaced to a different COE campsite hoping for better conditions than those found by us at Short Mountain Cove, OK. It wasn't bad, just not great either if that makes sense to you?
A couple of hours later, we were at the new site and located our site at the top of a small hill, next to a Pavilion. Only one other campsite across the road from us, the rest of the campers were down the hill and closer to the water. Our site was heavy with trees and their shade, the swim site was nice and close by and it felt cooler up on top of the hill as well!

Later in the afternoon, we took a drive to check out the nearby Nimrod Dam, you can actually get quite close to this dam, first a look from the parking lot nearby:

We're only here for one night, then we're moving tomorrow to a different spot further on.....
Still, worth the move for the one night stay....much better spot than last one.

Boy , you guys are on the move. Sorry to read about Martha's allergies though. Martha is known for soldering through anything so I imagine she'll be fine in a day or two.

Nimrod was also a person in the Bible:
Nimrod the Hunter was a leader amongst men and a builder of cities, including Babel and Nineveh. He was a great-grandson of Noah but did not live up to the virtues and standards that God had found in Noah.
I've only heard it used as an insult before....so looking it up had me learning the bible bit.
