Veteran's Day Snowy Uraling

Happy Veterans Day to my fellow veterans!

The local middle school and the high school where my loving wife Martha works at did their yearly display of American Flags along the street front of both schools.

I stopped by her high school after uraling about a bit in the snow, and after the skies had started clearing and the sun had stared shining on the snow which had fallen overnight.  As I type this, temperatures have soared into the middle 40s and there shouldn't be much snow left on the main streets.

Prior to the above picture, Scarlett and I motored out of the home neighborhood on streets that were covered in slushy snow piles.

Traction was good, temperatures hovered around the freezing mark and the skies were overcast.

 The usual tree-lined road shot

As the cloudy skies cleared, I was able to capture
a glimpse of Mount Evans before more clouds blew in....

This first pic is special. Great pic, header-worthy.

Thanks SonjaM, glad I didn't stop shooting that particular scene after just one shot....the one you like was actually, the 9th iteration.

I agree, the first pic is very nice what with the flags and all of the color, but I am a sucker for mountain backdrops, so the last one is my favorite.

Thanks Kathy K. That last shot, is highly weather and light dependent as you might imagine....thanks for your comments.
