Yesterday, we drove the VRRV to the outskirts of Houston, TX and set up camp at a HipCamp location near Cypress, TX.
HipCamp is kind of like the airBnB for campers. Small privately owned locations, with just a one to a few sites.
Anyways, we got in to the one that's a small family farm with goats that were used in Goat Yoga services.
One of the owners even gave us a brief tour of a project they're working on, the restoration of a double-decker bus which eventually will be used for tours.
Martha and I drove over to CCjon's home and met him and his lovely wife Amparo.
After visiting for a bit, we went out for dinner. CCjon drove the four of us into northern Houston to a Pappadeux Seafood Kitchen.
The dinner proved to be a delicious repast of Cajun-seasoned seafood and great conversation/story-telling. I of course ate too much and The Swamp Thing made Martha the designated driver when we left CCjon and Amparo's home later that evening!
Saturday, we met up again with CCjon and Amparo for some more enjoyable visiting and for me to help verify CCjon's setup of solar charging for his rig:

Good Tex-Mex! That is one thing we haven’t found here in Tennessee. Glad you got some and the trip is going well.
Thanks Oz, once we leave the Houston metro area the trip will become better I am sure.
It sounds like you had a wonderful visit! And quite the spread of Mexican food (or Tex-Mex). The sidecar RV looks even bigger in the picture.
The visit was great, RichardM!
The rig is quite large for sure. CCjon calls it the Warthog.
Thank you both for taking the time to swing thru southeast Texas and visit us. We had a great time visiting, telling stories or listening to my lies, fine dining and strange drinks.
Safe travels as you continue on around the country. Come back anytime. Houston has a few more restaurants we haven't tried yet.
Martha and I are very grateful for the great hospitality you and Amparo gave us, CCjon....
