Hi Folks
I was notified by SonjaM, one of my faithful readers, that her comments weren't getting published.
I checked the "awaiting moderation" section of blogger and sure enough, hers and other folks' comments were sitting there and I had not received the usual email notifications telling me someone had commented.
So, apparently it's a "known issue" with blogspot.com aka blogger.com and "they're working on it".
In the meantime, the workaround involves me posting a comment and checking the box that says "notify me of followup comments" right after making a post.
Please, lend a hand, make a comment to this posting, so I can see if notifications are sent by blogger.com or not since I will have made the first posting.

Update: 12AUG18....I saw this on another motoblogger's post. Seems like if you delete your email from the notification settings, save, then add it back in and save....you'll get an email from blogger asking if you want to subscribe to comments....now it "seems" like I'm getting notifications again, we'll see if this continues to work as before.

Hmmm...
This made me go check my blog and lo and behold I have comments pending on a post from a couple weeks ago. I've wondered how long it would be before Google stops supporting or shuts down blogger. Just seems like it doesn't get much attention or updating, and well, Google is known to shut down programs - picasa, reader... A lot of people and businesses still use blogspot, but it makes me wonder. Anyway, hope they get it fixed.

so much for the "work around", no email notifications received. oh well.
A good reminder that I need to check comments more frequently than I do. Often find legit comments awaiting moderation.
Canajun, yep, if you're using blogspot, the email notification remains broken. Wonder how easy it would be to migrate it all to wordpress?
Dom - I've wondered the same but I'm not sure I want to go to the bother. Easier just to check comments on occasion.
Canajun, I can't imagine transferring the photos and content of over ten years of blogging would be worth the time either. I've just been checking for comments, and found yours. :)
I too haven't been getting email notifications, I just go into comments and moderate when I have time/remember.
