Red Dawn and a Storm

We had us a beautifully red dawn today as I opened the garage door in preparation to ride to work.

The view in my cul-de-sac

The rest of the day was sunny, bright and hot, though in the late afternoon, a rain storm brewed up from the west.

The view from the way home

Beautiful dawn. We had this kind of light often in Calgary this time if the year.

I take it the storm didn't catch up with you?

Thanks Lucky, it made me wish for a wide angle lens on my camera...it was so majestic.

SonjaM, the storm petered out shortly after I took the shot, very little rain got to my home neighborhood.

Dom:

Your first photo is "stunning", and I also like the 2nd too, as long as it is far away and not coming your direction

Beautiful photo. I really like it when the sun shines on the bottom of the clouds. It tells us that the sky is clear in that direction...

Gorgeous extremes in those pictures.

When do you start your photo calendar Dom?

The picture of the sunrise barely captures the beauty that we both were treated to yesterday morning. Such a sight will make a morning person out of just about anyone, right?
