A quiet day today, the planned ride to the White Sands Missile Museum was canceled once I realized that although tripadvisor.com said it was opened; google maps said otherwise.
Instead I did some hiking. The trailhead for the Pine Loop Trail was nearby and I hiked it up and up until the trail started to head back down. Not to rough a trail, but rocky at times and small gravel could lead to a deadly slide if you're not careful.
You spend a lot of time in the trees but once in a while you get a good view of either the mountain peaks above you or the valley below:
After lunch, some chores around the URRV and even a short nap, made for a relaxing day.
