Short Rides

Last ten days or so have been a bit of a strain in the House of Chang.

Miles, aka Thing 2, was finally diagnosed with a severe case of Mononucleosis and much time was spent in different emergency rooms and urgent care facilities over the last couple of months before that was determined.

Good news is, all other much more worrisome causes have been eliminated, it's definitely Mono.

In between visits to medical facilities, I worked in some short rides.

April 7...clear views of nearby peaks

 Lovely from a distance
Denver is a cesspool up close

Nice photos! It’s good to hear that Miles is improving. I like the colors of the cesspool...

The cesspool is better the further one is from it

I wish I had anything closer to those beautiful landscapes in my area.

Thanks Kofla Olivieri....maybe not mountains but surely something around?

The goat makes for a nice silhouette but you definitely need to add some colour to the bike otherwise it fades into the background.

Glad that thing 2 is on the mend. Isn't Mono quite contagious? In German vernacular we call it the kissing disease... what was he up to? ;-)

Thanks SonjaM, color addition project on hold for now. Yep, kissing disease indeed, we think his girlfriend gave it to him. Nice girl, she helped take care of him last few weeks.

Glad to hear Miles is improving. It is a long slow process rebuilding from mono. So did you tell said girlfriend no more kissing until he's fully recovered?????

I agree the bike doesn't stand out as well as the rigs in your photos. You are too far away from it for a flash to work. Wonder if a battery powered light to illuminate the bike's side would work? Like a portable work light set near the bike... just an idea.
