"Spring Forward" Sunset

Sunday, March 11, the day Daylight Savings Time (DST) once again is inflicted on the nation in an attempt to make people think they get more daylight.  So, we're told to "spring forward" or set our clocks one hour forward.

There might have been a time, perhaps when the USA was an agrarian nation, where this measure made sense.  Now?  Not so much, at least from the way I see things.

Regardless, Mother Nature did give us a nice sunset on Sunday, perhaps as a way to make up for the taking away of an hour from us by whomever came up with DST.

Gorgeous! Love the first set with the different layers of clouds. And I completely agree about DST! AZ has the right idea. I'm watching to see how the measure goes over in Florida as they are putting it up.

Thanks BeemerGirl, Florida’s measure depends on federal action I believe so even though they might vote for it, the feds have some say I think.

I started to think about Daylight Savings Time but quickly realized I don't care at all about it. I'll follow whatever time my iPhone and Timex tells me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

You've got the Denver skyline panorama down pat. Do you fret that your taking the same picture over and over again as I do when looking at my Vespa pictures? Even when the weather is different I shoot if from the same angle. It's the angle I think looks best but wonder if the pictures are just getting tired. It's so comfortably successful that I've quick looking for something different. Or better.

Thanks Steve and yes, sometimes I think the same picture is being taken over and over....but then the background provided by the sunset is different each time and I have learned to not worry about it so much.

To wit, everyone seemed very happy with the first pic from the posting before this one....and yet, similar pics were done last year that are quite the same.

I figure it might be a similar pic series but not everyone has seen or tired of them yet.

It is, what it is....

A gorgeous sunset.

I've never really understood why we participate in DST. I'd much rather have it lighter out in the morning. Now it is dark until almost 8 am.

I think it’s an outdated concept myself Trobairitz, but you know how government is, once something is in place....
