After spending the night at Bobskoot's home (thanks Bob!), he and I pored over maps and he gave me input on some spots to try and get shots on the proposed route out of town.
I then spent the morning and first half of the afternoon, being given a tour of Vancouver by Bobskoot and Mrs Bobskoot. It was by car, so we could converse and chat as we went. We toured Richmond, which is a city near Vancouver, where it's basically Chinatown. Apparently the population is 98% chinese. It gave one a taste of what it would be like to visit Hong Kong. I found it quite interesting and crowded at the same time.
Bobskoot and his wife Yvonne kindly treated me to breakfast and later on to some delicious barbecue pork from what is apparently Vancouver's number BBQ joint. We ate it as a snack at Port Stevenson as we gazed upon the boating scenery there.
Finally, all good things have to come to an end, and I said my goodbyes to Bob and Yvonne around 2:00 PM, and headed east through Vancouver (really? no highways to get across...just city streets?) over to Port Moody.

I got a bit lost but SonjaM of Two Wheels Revisited guided me in and I met up once again with her and her husband Roland.
We chatted for a bit in their condo but soon it was time to re-don riding gear and take SonjaM for her first sidecar ride as the "monkey".

We wandered west towards Alouette Lake where we posed Valencia against a pretty mountain background.
Golden Ears are apparently a species of bird
SonjaM then guided me further into the Golden Ears Park to a small bridge which was used a as location in the movie Rambo, First Blood.
It was then time to retrace our route out of the park and we were attempting to get to Pitt Lake for the sunset but were too late and turned around once Sonja realized we wouldn't make it in time.
We returned to town safe and sound and spent the evening eating delicious German food and talking politics. It was a frank and open discussion and while our view may not agree on some areas, there also turned out to be common ground.
Thanks Sonja and Roland for an enjoyable evening, glad you had fun on your first sidecar ride and thank for letting me stay at your place.

I'm glad that both of us got to "Share" you and force you to stay another day here in the Vancouver area. Your Hack is so photogenic, must be the shade of Orange.

If the weather was more 2-wheeled friendly I would have been tempted to follow you for a day or two

Beemergirl...oh it was quite spirited at points but it's all good.
Bobskoot, thanks again to you as well my friend. You wouldn't have liked the snow that fell on me today, three times....though it didn't really stick.

I noticed you were in Clinton. We liked the Cariboo Lodge and have been there several times. I have a friend around the corner where we could stay the next time you come back. He has a cabin on Green Lake (70 mile house) and is also a Norton Commando 850 rider, which he has owned from new

Bobskoot, that is one of the downfalls of not planning one's itinerary down to the last detail....would have loved to see that Norton!
