Delivering Santa

Monday night was the neighborhood Christmas party for the little ones to meet with Santa and let him know their Christmas wishes.

As Natasha, the Ural did before her, so did Yoshie get a chance to deliver Santa to the waiting kids gathered at the local elementary school.

The young man (high school student) who'd volunteered to be Santa showed up at my driveway promptly at 6:30PM as I waited with Yoshie's engine warming up and the lights already blinking on the sidecar.

Santa

Ready to go!

I returned home after delivering Santa.  You should have seen the look on the little kids' faces as we pulled up to the school!  After about 45 minutes, Santa's business was done and I returned to pick him up.  The kids waved at both of us and we took off  into the night.

Here's Yoshie, almost back to normal running condition.
I think I'll leave Rudolf on the nose of the sidecar for a day or two.

Now that's the way for Santa to arrive in style! Heck with reindeer.

Sweet! I never got the reindeer thing. You have just restored my beliefs ;-)

Dear Charlie6 (Dom):

Thank God you didn't try to bring Santa on the old Ural. Jolly Old Saint Nick would have arrived out of breath, carrying the real axle of the sidecar.

What great fun... But now whebn the kids see you out riding, they'll assume you have pull with the man n red.

Fondest regards,
Jack/reep

RichardM, thanks...the Rudolph image didn't last long though....had to remove it when the wind caught a part of it.

Thanks Chris, I liked the lights too, and since it was on the deep cycle battery in the trunk, no draw on the bike's system.

Bluekat...if only I'd thought to rig a speaker system to broadcast the sound of sleigh bells!

SonjaM...glad I could be of service! : )

Jack...it was a short ride so chances are good Natasha would have made it in one piece. : )
