Well, after being a contractor to different companies from 2005 through 2009, I am pleased to report I will be rejoining the rat race as a fulltime employee with Sungard Availability Services.
I will be working as a Network Engineer in their Aurora, Colorado offices/Data Center. My start date is March 8, 2010. It was a long almost three months of searching and applying for jobs, thanks to all who expressed well wishes in my job hunt.
As to motorcycling content......well, I did ride my Ural Sidecar rig just now to the drug testing facility to produce and turn in my pee. That counts, right? : )
The place I went to was stricter than the above location,
I had to leave Natasha outside while I provided the sample!

Sorry to hear the 9-5 will interfer with your riding, but congratulations on the new job.
Charlie6:
I'm glad you found something to occupy your time. It was frustrating to have to watch you riding every day while we go to work.
You just know what is going to happen NOW. The snow will be gone and it will be sunny everyday after next week.

Congratulations! I am happy for you. I know from first hand experience that job hunting can be quite an arduous exercise.
What AHD said! But congratulations anyway. At least you have another week.
Network engineer, eh.
Ah, but the good news is that this position comes with vacation. So, big adventures can still happen...and he'll be getting paid to do so.
Wifey has authorized an extended kitchen pass so he can make the most of this next week. Any suggestions for where he should head towards?
xoxo
Wifey (who was just getting used to having him around so much!)
Thanks to all of you, of course I will still ride to and from work as much as possible ( so far I am batting 1000 for 2010 in terms of riding every day).
I am hoping for an overnight trip to the Gunnison, CO area this coming last week of unemployment.
Congrats on the job!
Dear Charlie6 (Domingo):
Congratulations on finding another job. I got your e-mail over the weekend and I wanted to be among the first to extend my best wishes. My fate is not as secure yet, but I am meeting with some folks today to discuss a few alternatives.
I have an idea tha is very different, but very moto-oriented. I will be amazed if I can pull this off.
Fondest regards,

I was wondering when you'd get your lazy bones back to work! Seriously, congratuations. It always seems that we have free time with no money base. When we have the money base, we don't have the free time.
Can I call you at Sungard's support line when I have computer questions? Like, what kind of cheese do I feed the mouse? :)
Chris, Jack and Irondad,
thanks for the visit and the congrats...it's going to feel good being back working. daytime TV really sucks.
So Jack, did you pull off that "great idea"?
Irondad: roquefort is preferred for your mouse.
Better on my mouse than my salads. If I want stink like that I will chew on my dirty socks!
