It was Miles (my youngest son) and Ken P. a fellow Rounder Rider practicing riding the sidecars and learning to lift the chair on purpose.
Not many pics or much video taken, was busy relaying instructions to Miles via the Sena Bluetooth Intercoms and ensuring Ken and Daimler (his German Sheperd and a natural at being the monkey) were doing good as well.

Later on, I rode Brigitta to the usual sunset picturing spot and got some decent shots of her in the light of a pretty good sunset.
A very short video of both riders. I should have shot more but was concentrating on making sure they got comfortable "flying the chair" on purpose and not.

Jan Daub, very doubtful he'll hang a sidecar on Brigitta....not designed for such duty.
He did seem to like it though, but he said it was more work....two wheels more fun.
What a great thing to start the new year. I can see dad and son sidecar adventures in the not so far away future, Dom. Miles looks like a pro. And so does Daimler.
He did seem to enjoy it SonjaM, here’s hoping you’re right.
But then you'll need another "spare"...
Pretty ambitious for you to teach sidecar training.
Ambitious? Perhaps? I've done both the two-wheeled and three-wheeled BRC and the differences with the sidecar BRC is what I had them do. They both seemed more comfortable with the flying the chair concept, on their own terms, not by surprise.
Ken took to it much easier but then again, he's got years of riding experience behind him. Miles is still working on smooth throttle/clutch control. :)
