Early September Sunset

I rode Fiona to a new spot, near the usual sunset watching spot, but up a bit higher and accessible via a very short but fun dirt trail.

First things first, there was a rather lovely thundercloud being illuminated by the setting sun:

Using the Subtle-Ian effect to add color....better or stay original?

I moved the spare gas can from the nose of the sidecar to the rear

ScooterBob and a single sunflower that was near Fiona

On the lan effect coloration it looks like a forest fire. My nod goes to the original.

Awesome pictures Dom. I don't know what I liked better, the thundercloud or ScooterBob with the sunflower. Great composition.

Thanks Trobairitz, I almost didn't take Scooterbob out of his box!

I also preferred the original on the thundercloud. And great orange skies. The SB photo was great...

I've seen a lot of people carrying extra gas on the front of their sidecar rigs. The extra weight is kind of in the wrong place for stability. Granted, next to the exhaust pipe isn't the ideal place either...

RichardM, yep, making the nose heavy isn't a good idea for those fast left turns, thanks for the feedback re the photos. As to the can now being above hot exhaust....

Brilliant, Dom. Nature at it's best, and beautifully set in scene.

Thanks SonjaM. I almost got there in time for the lighting to be perfect re the first pic.

Beautiful shots of the front range Dom. I'd have to agree about the original photo though I'm woefully inadequate to be critiquing colors.

Been away and need to get caught up. SO happy to see SK still in one piece!

Thanks Coop, it's easy to get good shots when the sunset provides such colors.

By SK I'll assume you meant SB. :)

He's still holding together, almost got blown off the side of a cliff while on Pikes Peak last weekend though.
