Andrey Kotofey: Winter Nordkapp

Here's a man after my own heart, a winter Uralista who rode to the Nordkapp in Winter.

It's worth the slightly more than 14 minutes of your time, if you like riding in the Winter like I do.

He and his passenger made the ride in January of 2014 apparently.

Buuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Three wheels might make a difference for me - NOT! I like a challenge but I like to be warm more!

Nice video. Is that your next vacation destination?

I wonder what they did to prevent the breather from freezing? I noticed that Raceway changed the breather fitting when the timing cover was updated. I wonder if that will help?

VStar Lady, it did seem pretty cold huh? Better than hot weather to me though.

RichardM, riding the Nordkapp has surfaced in recent conversations with Martha.....but not anytime soon. Why did I think you'd overcome the breather issue on your rig?

Thank you for sharing. Stunning scenery, but his outfit must be made for the conditions. Man, it looks cold!

Scooterbrad, oh I am sure he had heated gear on and applicable heated gear on the motorcycle as well, probably running 5w40 or thinner oil so that it hadn't coagulated overnight, but otherwise I doubt very much would have to be done to a stock Ural rig. I do wonder though, how he overcame the frozen breather hose issue.
