Our Russian distributor delivered 20 (twenty) red Urals to Sochi, rumored to be used at the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. As expected everything is cloaked in secrecy, so we won't know until we know. The Opening Ceremony starts Friday, February 7, 11:00 am ET. It will be broadcast (unfortunately not live) on NBC at 7:30pm ET. Our Canadian readers can watch it live on CBC.
I'll be recording the opening ceremonies, even though they will have already happened due to time delayed broadcast here in the USA. For those in Canada who manage to watch it on CBC, drop me a line if you do see URAL sidecar rigs in the ceremony, will you?
Update:
Yes, there were URAL Sidecar Rigs in the Sochi Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony! Got these pictures from URAL through their Irbit Informer digital newsletter:

Unfortunately, I will be at work (11am EST=8am PST), so I will see it delayed too. We don't have a TV here

You'll need to de-stripe your new one to match. Plus add the support for the stand up passenger. Didn't you have your Go-Pro mounted up high before?
Bobskoot, it's OK, that's why there's DVRs.
RichardM, yeah, the stripes would have to go.....and Martha is not that wild about the idea of standing in the sidecar, holding a javelin. I did have the Go-Pro mounted on a tripod anchored on the spare tire....and there was a brief episode with a long pole anchored on the sidecar frame in the middle.
I had the opportunity to watch it live on TV (actually the only reason I paid attention to the event). After the URAL drive-by was over, I switched programs :-)
If I had only known I might have watched it like every other person at my location ...
SonjaM, I admit we went to bed shortly after we saw the URAL bit....
VStarLady, the video in the posting is all that was presented with URAL sidecars....
I liked the "up high" perspective. It resembled an IMAX film.
