URAL in the Super Bowl

In its continuing efforts to market their sidecar rigs into the mainstream consciousness, URAL has taken a major step by collaborating in what I believe is its first presence in a Super Bowl commercial.

It's not a URAL-centric ad of course, the cost of this ad is probably more than the entire marketing budget for the company in one year!

The hometown Denver Broncos play the Seattle Seahawks today....I guess I'll tune in to see the commercial live.  :)

Valencia's engine has been ordered to the mothership for examination by Sergey.

Looks like I will be URAL-less for the entire month of February.  Yoshie, my Suzuki V-Strom Rig will probably not see action either as she lacks a proper snow tire.  It's going to be a long month.

Good for them. That was an awesome way to promote the brand. Sorry to hear of your cycle woes.

Thanks for sharing. The one thought that came to mind was: Can somebody please move the cars out of the way so that I can get a closer look at the hacks?

Bummer, that you won't be able to ride (at least when it's snowy…). Hope the issue can be fixed soon.

Rick, thanks...we'll see how it all pans out.

SonjaM, truly a bummer...going to have to "cage it". The Horror. Oh, and I thought the same thing about the cars....

We'll be looking for the ad. Several of us are meeting in Dave's shop this afternoon to watch and tinker...

RichardM, wrenching in between super bowl commercials....sounds like a plan!

Saw the commercial :)
Um, you might want to just skip the rest of the game. It ain't purty for Denver. :D
My condolences on your long, motorless month. May it pass swiftly.

Did the dealer give you a date i.e. Why not simply ship out a new engine unless they are challenging your maintenance or operation. Just wondering...

Geez Dom, there's gotta be more than meets the eye here. Valencia went down a week ago and you have to wait another month for resolution? Five weeks to repair an engine under warranty.....please tell me that this was your choice to have HQ to do the analysis and repair, to your benefit and peace of mind.
I would be very unhappy if I had to give up Stormin' Norman for that long. Sun and I are very interested in the outcome and resolution as we continue our long distance touring planning, and await you updates.
The SB was unexpected, maybe next year. Glennandsun

RichardM and GlennandSun, you make valid points and questions...working on a posting that will answer them.

Hi Bluekat, yeah, the game didn't turn out so well for the Broncos, did it?
