I headed up to Northglenn, a city on the northern side of the Denver Metro Area, to meet at Darrell S's house to participate in a tech day he'd planned and centered on a new airbox he was installing on his URAL sidecar rig.
Alas, I didn't find out till I got there that I got my dates wrong, the event was scheduled for next weekend and Darrell was elsewhere! Doh! Senility, it sucks.
So I meandered on home, enjoying the sunshine and temperatures in the high 50s with just a slight amount of wind.
As I neared home, along Powhaton Road, I spied a lone and delapidated windmill which had seen better days. It reminded me of the pictures of lone trees shot by Steve of ScooterintheSticks, and so I pulled over to pose Valencia.
Not much else to report for today, just a lazy Saturday afternoon in the great state of Colorado. No real snow yet for the Front Range area yet, though the weather guessers are teasing me once again with hints of snow for tomorrow. We shall see.
As I write this, the mountains are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow so that'll help the ski resorts hopefully.

See, it was just an error, at least you didn't have to invent an errant to get on a ride ;-)
No need to invent errands SonjaM, Martha knows I need a riding "fix" on a regular basis....sometimes she just ushers me out of the house....
Lazy Saturdays are good. Sure you may have had the wrong day, but you had a nice ride in the sunshine.
Lazy Saturdays are good though I'm fighting the urge to make it maybe three days a week. I rode around a bit last Saturday but was fighting the ice on the roads. It wasn't too much fun. Hopefully, conditions improve.
Trobairitz, truthfully any ride is a good ride....sunshine is nice, but would like a bit of snow to go with it.
RichardM, make what three days a week? Ride to work? Also, is telecommuting an option for you on the really bad days?
What brand/model windscreen do you have mounted? It looks good.
Anonymous, I am unsure of the brand...it's similar to the Aerostar sold by URAL dealers but not quite. Great wind protection but the lower mounts that came with it don't fit with my URAL and I have to reach over the windshield to access the ignition key in the headlight bucket....still, the price (bought it used) was right.
Try and commute three days per week, This morning, I just felt old and tired and just got dropped off. Didn't even take the bus.
And, I don't think that I have the discipline to effectively telecommute. I like messing around in the kitchen and garage too much.
Correction for Anonymous: the model closest is the National Cycle Plexistar, not aerostar....
