Fiona starts break-in miles and a nice Colorado Sunset

Hi Folks, please check the reminder to the right of this post.  The "Shameless" request for your votes!

This Saturday, Fiona and I spent some quality time this morning and early afternoon cruising at or below 40 mph on county roads east of the Metro Denver area.  No issues encountered with Fiona and the weather was not too warm when stopped and fine when moving.

By the time I got home this evening, her odometer read 16,708.  Less than 300 kilometers more and time for the first oil flush of her rebuilt gearbox.  I cannot go above 40 mph until she's accumulated 2500 kilometers from the gearbox rebuild.

I did the "four way flasher" mod on Fiona in the afternoon, planning to use it when on future "break in" rides and on roads where the speed limit is above 45 mph.  I want to make sure the cagers coming up behind me realize I'm not doing the speed limit.

Sunsetwx.com was predicting good sunset potential for the metro Denver area tonight so it was Fiona and I to the usual spot for sunset pictures.

Denver's skyline can be seen on the lower right corner...

Before the sun set behind the mountains

After the sun set below the front range mountains

A little after the above pictures, I turned around and found myself surrounded by cagers trying to get a picture of the nice sunset.

Most departed soon enough, except for one gentleman who UDF'ed me as I took the last picture series below, from which this one came out the best:

Denver Skyline and the sun's last rays...

Wow, 2500km at <40 kph! That's going to be challenging in Denver!

Good to see the rig back on the road. Love the sunset pics!

RichardM, in the city it would be quite doable but not really enjoyable. I'll stick to county roads to the east of the metro area.

Thanks Andrew Thomson, glad you liked them.

Good stuff, Dom. And you've taken the opportunity to set up the rig in its best light. Again, formidable sunset pics.

Danke SonjaM, kind of hard to get it wrong when you can witness such sunsets.
