Four of those days, I had work in Wheeling, IL. A suburb of Chicago I think, where the company I work for was hosting it's yearly conference for our subscribers. It's less than an handful of times in the year when we are all together in one spot; as we all work from home from various cities in the USA.
I returned home Friday evening, late. Then followed almost three days of seemingly terminal ennui when it came to riding. Sure, it was hot during the day I thought to myself. Sure, the roads would be filled with cagers and bikers seeking a bit of the glorious outdoors for themselves. Sure, I was tired from spending the week in Wheeling, "working".
Really not sure what's going on in terms of riding when one has the time and functional motorcycles at his disposal.
This evening, I finally gave myself the impetus to get out as the sunset time approached and I positioned Scarlett in the usual spot for summer sunsets.
The real light show started after the sun had set behind the front range mountains, the colors were really gorgeous and I hope you like the sequence below:
It was a rather warm 72°F (22°C) as Scarlett and I motored on home. No real riding despite the copious free time, weird huh?

Light show? You could call it that, indeed. Love the sunflower setting. Did you already get in contact with Ural, and offer them your pics for next year's calendar?

Very nice! I like the sky in the 2nd photo but the flowers in the foreground of the 1st and 3rd. The sun backlighting the rig is better (IMHO).

RichardM, thanks. the sun backlighting the rig is where I seem to have gotten started with these sunset pics motif....I like the orange/red colors of the post-sunset skies as well. Didn't want folks to get bored with "as usual".
