9/11 Sunset Ride with Brigitta

9/11, a day full of memories and thoughts that range from helpless rage, profound sadness, tears and painful thoughts not only of the cowardly attacks by terrorists fourteen years ago; but of the heroes of that day and the days after.

Brigitta, my '87 BMW R80 Airhead and I motored out shortly before sunset to try and clear things in my head.

Mother Nature, as if to soothe the souls of the living, gave us another great sunset here in Colorado.

The first photo I shot, just a few minutes after the sun had set behind
the front range mountains.

 Sunset Mode on the camera

You can just make out Long Peak in the distance.

Nice sunset photos though there seems to be a lot going on in the background. And riding is a great way to clear your head.

Thanks RichardM, I try to avoid the neighborhood houses in the near background.

Lots of traffic tonight too, there was an accident involving two minivans about 1/4 mile away which was tying up traffic traversing behind Brigitta.

Apt narrative, Dom. And mighty fine work capturing some full silhouettes of Brigitta: She sppears to be balanced right on the horizon.

Thanks for your comments Ry.

I do love that motorcycle Dom. Seeing it displayed against that sunset makes it even more desirable. Nice work.

And there is nothing like a ride to calm the tortured mind and soul...

Thanks Steve, means a lot coming from a photographer such as yourself.

Beautiful pics--helped clear my head too. 9/11 I can't believe that it happened in 2001 when it feels sometimes like yesterday.

Sojourner....re 9/11, indeed.

Glad you liked the pics.
