I offer you a view of the cloudy skies and a fiery sunset.....the sunset shot was not tweaked for color, shot using my camera's sunset mode, tweaked only for cropping and resizing.
Typical Colorado Sunset, we have it rough here, don't we?
While waiting for the right light conditions, I shot several minutes of dark skies with sporadic lightning flashes. Here's a short video clip of the parts with lightning, and a view of a couple out "walking" their dog.

The colours are truly paramount but I'd rather spend my time indoors when lightning is around.
This kind of dog 'walking'... only in America.
Beautiful sunset. I didn't even notice Valencia til I looked at the big pic.
Nice capture of the lightening too!
Thanks Ladies for your kind words.
That is a beautiful sunset! And the video of the lightning was pretty impressive. For some reason, the dog walking with the golf cart almost seems normal. Maybe because a lot of dog teams train in the summer pulling a four wheeler. Not an uncommon sight.
Dom:
that a very nice sunset. We don't get many like that over here.
I am still chuckling at that golf cart

Dear Mr. DC.
Go to hell. (Which, of course, I mean in as friendly of a way as possible.) 70 degrees and beautiful sunsets are better than what I've got going here - which is the remnants of food poisoning and 95 degrees. (I first typed 950 by accident, almost left it.) Supposedly it's supposed to be a high of 91 or something this weekend. I am so excited. If the nausea clears up I might make Margaritas. Who's jealous now? Actually, I'm jealous now, I really want one but I think it would kick my stomach into overdrive if I tried one.

Beautiful sunset. I love those pictures. I barely noticed the lightning because I was laughing at the dog "walking". I know there could be a valid medical reason, but I would be afraid there wasn't.
Sonja, truly only in America
Thanks Bluekat!
Thanks Richard, do you get such colors up north?
I found the golf cart amusing as well, wonder if the use the dog to tow them home if the battery dies....
Brady, I keep telling ya, nice and cool in the mountains, especially above 10,000 feet....get that Connie moving west, young man!
Hmmm, didn't think there might be a medical reason....but I doubt it.
