An Overcast Day by the Dragoon Mountains

I puttered about the campsite today, mostly.

Remarkably, there was less than a half a plastic bag of trash to be picked up!  The previous camper did OK, though they did leave some trash in the fire ring.

Along with clearing away cow patties left behind by the several cows one can see wandering loose in the area; I also burned trash that I'd accumulated/collected.

It was overcast most of the day, went for a short 1/2 hike to explore a dry creek bed nearby, nothing significant found to report.

Mid-afternoon, the sun actually shone brightly for about 40 minutes or so.  So I jumped in the Sammy to get some pictures of the rock formations.  Alas, the light didn't last very long.  Tomorrow is supposed to be the same in terms of cloudiness so my plan to visit Texas Canyon will have to wait for a sunny day.

Returning to camp, the returning overcast conditions rendered a rather subdued sunset and following alpenglow.  Below pic benefited from post-processing to bring out the colors in the clouds.
