Westward, Ho! Day 10: Relaxing and a Movie

Didn't do much of anything today, no I didn't manage to find out what the new instance of the check engine light was trying to tell me.

The light has come on shortly after leaving Pennsylvania and I had delayed getting the VRRV to a auto parts store to have the code extracted by their ODB2 reader.

I would not surprised to see that it was once again the fuel rail pressure sensor!

You might recall that I had reasonably bought one on Amazon and replaced it in Kentucky.

So, because it is not a safety or performance item that I am aware of, I am going to wait until I am home to replace it, again.

The above was the highlight of the day, aside from a small hike near the campground, all I did was read a book at my campsite.

I decided to leave tomorrow instead of Monday as there's not much else to do here for me.  So I made reservations at a Corps of Engineers campsite in Illinois.

Truly was this a prescient move because not even an hour later; another camper showed up with his toy hauler and parked next to my site.

He then extracted a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a typically loud one,  from the back of the toy hauler.  He then proceeded to fire up a really loud generator for power.  Loud bike, loud generator....

Ryobi....very loud.

On the plus side, he's made no attempt to be neighborly either.  Which is fine by me.

Two hours and a slight headache on my part later, he finally shut off the loud generator when it started to rain at 5:25 PM.  Perhaps his generator isn't supposed to run in the rain?

As it doesn't cool off enough till close to 10PM, I went to  see the 7PM movie which starts in the base theater at 7PM.  It's "Black Widow", part of the Marvel Universe.  I'm hoping the theater will be chillingly air-conditioned.

I can't remember the last time I went to a movie theater!  This was well before the ongoing pandemic mind you.

I got back to camp before 10:00 p.m. The guy next door was running the generator and he ran it all night.  I guess the campground does not have quiet hours or they're not enforcing them.

Loud bike, loud generator... maybe the dude was hearing impaired, hence the noise would not bother him...

So what was your take on the movie? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

Well, CCjon, plenty of violence, explosions, fighting that one expects from a marvel universe movie..... But perhaps a tad too much touchy-feely stuff about the black widow finding her family again.
