Taking a break from Facebook

I've deactivated my facebook, instagram and fb messenger accounts.

You'll still be able to reach me via email, and this blog.

Thanks in advance for not asking why.

See you on the road....

FB doesn't give up easily. They will pester you for years.

Recently I had to have a FB account, rather than reactivate an ancient account with them, I set up a new one with a fake name. Used it for a needed couple of weeks then dropped it. Am amazed how FB now wants my family to "friend" someone who they do not know but FB knows I and the fake use the same computer.

FB knows way too much about our personal lives.

I will really miss seeing your photos there, but am on your email list so will continue following along.

I’ve not received any emails from FB CCjon but yeah it’s quite the intrusive app, there’s big money apparently in the exploitation of the info gathered by such apps....the selling of your browsing habits/destinations...not to mention being platforms for distribution of viruses and malware is quite possible.
