Yet Another Colorado Sunset

I started off today's Sunset pictures session without much hope for good colors as the initial beginning was less than promising.

About sixteen minutes before sunset.

I switched to the telephoto lens and backed up as far as I could (there was a building in the way) and the sunset colors got much better.

 Four minutes before sunset

 Two minutes before sunset
(Sunset Mode on Camera)

 Seven minutes after sunset
ISO-2000

Eleven minutes after sunset
ISO-3200

Super beautiful colors!

Geez anything over 800 iso is garbage on my cameras. Nice sunsets - the colors just get better as the minutes pass!

KaTyDid, yes, the colors were quite inspiring.

Bluekat...you can start seeing noise at iso-3200 on the Sony. It'll go to iso-16000 but noisy!

Precious moments. Thanks, Dom for capturing these beautiful bits.

Really nice sunset colors. What does "sunset mode" do?

Vielen Dank, SonjaM!

RichardM, sunset mode tends to overlay or perhaps oversaturate reds and orange colors....makes weak/wan sunsets much more fiery.
