It was a brisk 50°F and sunny and one could feel the chill in the air trying to seep into the edges of one's riding gear as we took the E-470 Tollway to DIA or Denver International Airport.

I got Martha to the airport, safe and sound. Then I took the back roads towards home. I found myself in foggy conditions on Monaghan Road and paused for a picture:
Soon after the above picture, the rising sun burned off the fog and it was clear and sunny conditions all the way back home. Martha comes home Sunday, I'll try to get some more pictures then.

safe travels to Martha. I hope she left some leftovers so you don't starve. That's the first thing that came into my mind.
getting a bit cool here too and a bit of marine air last week which is like a sort of drizzly fog. Big difference in temperatures this week as compared to last week and we get a wind and rain storm on the weekend

Wishing Martha a safe journey. The fog just makes a nice background for the orange rig, doesn't it?
At least it isn't raining anymore. I think that we are passed the fog stage as most mornings are below freezing these days but it still gets well up into the high 30s by late afternoon.
Are you planning on just using the Ural for commuting this year? Or are there public transportation options available for really heavy snow days?
Bob, I am sure we'll survive somehow...there must be a Hooters around here somewhere.
RichardM, I plan to ride the URAL when it snows, the Beemer when roads are clear....there's options but not using them.
SonjaM, yes it does....but I need forests AND fog to get it right.....

Fog --- you have to love its transformative power. Makes a plain, ordinary place something special. Far easier to imagine riding across Siberia in the fog...

I love fog. We don't get a lot of it around here in my opinion.
That fog lying further down the road makes the distant path seem almost adventurously mysterious ....... Not knowing what lies ahead.
